drugs

recreational drugs are mostly a short cut
to the emotions we seek:
contentment happiness elation ecstasy satisfaction
hence the reason for drug abuse is poor management of emotions
ie abusers are not seeing emotions
 as mentors
but as masters
instead of seeing the search for happiness in context of the world and life
the drug abuser sees it as a command to immediate action
to get happiness now
somehow we mostly seem to have minds and bodies that
don't reward this short cut
so we have hangovers, liver disease, psychoses etc
as punishment to put us off excess drug use
DNA is determined by survival
the heavy users of short cuts survive and procreate less
Although the present ice epidemic is threatening
The loss of the non survivors of ice etc is natural selection
Again DNA's survival is the ruler
