dna directives

dna labeling of all we perceive
inside and outside of us
happens constantly
from cradle to grave
this labeling gives us our dualistic tendency
as often mentioned in buddhist texts
the labeling is purely dna considering
its survival options
so it is not considering individual happiness
so the sight of a gorgeous woman might excite a married man
that is dna
but his chance of long term happiness may be poor
if he runs off with each new doll
and leaves wives and children in his wake

our tendency to label all  we perceive is incessant
this is our dualistic nature
as stressed in many buddhist texts
this is from cradle to grave
the label is clear
good or bad
otherwise no label at all

the only judge for this is dna
it is the dna directive program
it does not stop

but it is just a knee jerk response
and its aim is dna survival

and we have it directing our lives always
if it wasn't there
we would be catatonic, paralysed

do we want that to rule us
without even understanding what it is

better we temper its domination
by understanding what it is
and then take our direction
with an alternative aim...
...mutual sustainable happiness
which is really our only option

many people do this intuitively
without knowing
why they struggle with conflicting aims

the reason is that our minds do
have conflicting aims because of dna directives
which are emotions

we have to understand this
and see these
conflicting aims

and then let our cortex step in and move us instead
towards sustainable mutual happiness
